I just updated Icon Packager to v3.00g[b].002 and after the prompted restart
most icons in the quick launch bar is now set to default "unknown format" icon =~(

Update: The same has happened to 99% of ALL program icons on the computer =~~(

How can I get the correct icons back?

I has the same problem and the only solution was... to re-install the original Iconpackager 3 that I bought. Other thing that I don't understand what happen is about WindowBlinds 4.6. I update my 4.4 version, and after reboot I see in the "about".. WindowBlinds 4.4 (build 163)

I've experienced the same, and many other problems with the newest updates. Each time I go ahead and install one, I can't change any "single" icons, nor can I install just part of an IP Theme; ie: folders, filetypes - it's all or nothing apparantly. IP will install whatever sections I do choose, but the unchecked sections all revert back to the original Windows icons.

I've tried getting help myself, received two replies, but nothing worked. The ONLY option I found that does work, that you might want to try, restoring to an archived version (for me, this one works: v.3.00d{b}). The last one that I have found that still "works" is:
IP v.3.00d{b} - It's getting quite frustrating...

Good Luck!

Update: ALL .exe-files show the "unknown format" icon.

It seems that it's only a handful of program-"shortcuts" that show the correct
icons =~(

It seems that iprepair.dll was included in the update again even though it was removed in earlier update because it caused so much trouble for ppl =\

I tried essorant's suggestion for unregistering the dll here;
https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=169&AID=78065#638793

but no luck =~(

I then tried to uninstall IconPackager hoping it would return
my system, but no luck either =~~(

Update: YES!!!! All program icons are back!!

While I was waiting for the return mail from Stardock Support
I got a thought telling me to check if there was a new version of IP
on the SDC.

There was v3.00b.093.

I installed that and rebooted.

Now all icons are finally back! =D

Dang, that was a very stressful 24 hours since I got a lot of work
to do this weekend.

phew...

After you pick an icon to change a single Icon are you getting a blank spot where the icon should be with a little yellow Triangle symbol?
They if you go ahead an apply it..the icon just becomes a funny looking file ..

Im not sure how to explain it..but when I repeat the procedure..i can get it to work. But never on the first try.

I noticed this was the case with all the icons I had made myself too. None would work..but..like I said, seems they change eventually.

Hi Fairyy~

To get that version you need to do this:

1. unload then uninstall your current version.

2. remove the files left in the IconPackager folder (leave the Themes and Plugins folders alone though).

3. reboot and uncheck the setting "Show pre-release versions" in SDC so it will only show "stable" releases. You should then see the 3.00b.093 version

Let me know how it goes
